Application Specialist - Alpharetta, GA USA

Position Description

The Application Specialist supports the Customer Service department in various activities; including verification of customer requests and drawings, customer consults and providing advice during the ordering process, entering and processing orders.  Analyses complaints including documentation and communication with customers.  Provides support to the RotoMetrics sales staff when needed and communicates technical requirements related with customer solution with all parties.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Process customer inquiries including quotation requests for key accounts
  • Advises and consults for best solution to specific application problems
  • Provides for technical advice in general and specifically to assigned key accounts
  • Follows through with order processing
  • Provides for technical support to the RotoMetrics Sales force, including occasional travel with the sales team to provide technical support
  • Reviews and corrects blueprints provided by customers, assures that the blue prints provided are complete
  • Identifies problem areas and clarifies such areas with customer, assures that the blue prints can be processed by our CAD department without any further issues
  • Analyses and documents customer complaints, recommends corrective action measurements for RotoMetrics, provides for written follow up documentation of error analyses to customer
  • Defines responsibility of error, decides and communicates the consequences/action for follow up
  • Provides occasional on-site support during trial of new products or applications, provides onsite assistance to our sales force during cylinder audits or training sessions

Knowledge /Skills /Abilites

  • Must be able to read and understand blue prints
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Good technical understanding of processes/equipment
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Proficient with, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator
  • Independent and self-motivated

Education / Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Combination of a technical education and strong experience in technical customer service
  • Preferred language skills are English and Spanish, German would be a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
  • Able to wear personal protective equipment (if entering designated manufacturing areas)-safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc
