The Electroman™ Hot Foil Stamping System consists of an oil encapsulated, electrically heated hot foil stamping mandrel combined with an impression cylinder that may be placed in almost any die station.
Manufactured by Pantec GS Systems and distributed exclusively by RotoMetrics, Electroman offers a unique, patent-pending hybrid heating design that’s safe, clean and effective, plus provides even heat distribution and high quality stamping over the entire width of the web.
Features:
- Hybrid heating design does not require electrical connections to revolving parts. Electricity heats the mandrel’s non-revolving core, which transfers heat to an oil reservoir in the revolving portion of the mandrel.
- iGap process control offers individual adjustment of both the operator side and drive side of the press. A pneumatically activated eccentric shaft allows for an automatic throw off of the impression cylinder when the press stops, letting the bearers and gears remain in contact.
- Impression cylinder and mandrel feature bearers, which accept high preloads -- allowing smooth, high speed production.
- Digital temperature controls and displays.
- Three mandrel diameters available for the following tooth size ranges: 72-112, 96-145 and 146-192 (1/8 CP), supporting press widths from 9" to 16".
Advantages:
- Easy-to-use controls allow operators to set the stamping pressure by adjusting the gap between impression and hot stamp cylinder independently from the preload. The hot stamp cylinder may be moved laterally for perfect registration.
- Set up is quick and easy since Electroman can be designed to adapt to various die stations. In fact, changeover from die cutting to hot stamping and back can be done in just minutes without tools.
- Faster return on investment thanks to improved quality, performance and operating efficiency.
